Freshman Mistakes

By Ryan, July 19, 2006

Freshmen make mistakes. No matter how big they feel, other high schoolers look down on them and call stupid mistakes “Freshman Mistakes.”

I think I made a “Freshman Mistake” a few minutes ago.

I was busy moving my computer upstairs earlier. (It was downstairs for purposes of faster internet.) When re-connecting it, though (’cause I’ve got connections), I put the mouse cable in the keyboard slot and vice-versa. Needless to say, it didn’t work out so good. I spent a great deal of minutes figuring out just what went wrong. After I figured out the problem, I felt like a bona-fide freshman. I felt like I was dealing with something complex, but it was something very simple.

You know that kind of thing happens in real life. Nobody’s perfect. As much as your girlfriend might try to convince everyone otherwise, it just isn’t possible.

When things go wrong in our lives, we need to learn that no matter how difficult it seems to find a way out, God can figure it out no problem. That would make most people’s lives a lot easier.
