Valid Questions

By Ryan, October 17, 2005

There are many questions that are valid at almost any given time in my household. Here are three of my favorites:

  • “Tyler, what was that noise?”
  • “Okay, who didn’t flush!?”
  • “Is Dad asleep already?”
Yeah, life is never boring at my house. But there are also questions that need to be asked avery so often in our spiritual lives, too. Don’t act like you don’t know any of them. I’m certainly not saying you need to have all these memorized by now, but you should have heard them at some point in your life. Here are a few examples:
  • “God, where am I supposed to go from here?”
  • “God, how am I doing?”
  • “Okay, I suck. Will You please take over for me?”
After typing them, I realized that the last one there sounds a little like a tag-in tournament. But life should never be one large tag-in. It should be God all the way. Seriously, can we really do this alone? NO! Can we do anything in life alone? NO! Is there anything we can do without God’s help? Yes.

“Okay,” you wonder, “what is it then?”

If I’m right, and I may not be because I’m not an expert, but I may be because I have an IQ above 50, then God doesn’t have to help us ask for help. I know that sounds retarded, but go figure. This will probably end up as one of the finalists for worst post of the month. Like I said, go figure.
