Only WHAT?

By Ryan, October 21, 2005

The Bible says that Jesus will keep all His promises to us, right?

Well, today I was faced with an interesting thought.

“Is it possible to keep every promise you make?”

Well, for me, no. I’m only human. For Jesus, yes. The most recent big example in my life is computer-related. When I was 6 and just learning how to use Windows 95, I asked my dad how to create computer programs. He said I had to have very special, very expensive software to do that. So, for about 9 years, I prayed that God would make Daddy be able to buy that stuff for me. I had constantly gotten a yes, but I felt like it was a no.

Well, that’s over.

I signed up for Computer Science class for one reason: because Web Mastering 1 is not available to sophomores. But I’m taking CompSci now, and, just as God promised, my dad was able to install Visual Studio on our computer. He didn’t even have to buy it, because the school has an education version available for students like me to check out and install. God is definitely not “only human” like me.

But, no ordainary human would send his only son to die for everybody else’s wrongdoing. Go figure.
